Certificate application

The application for a supplementary protection certificate shall be filed with the Patent Office. It contains an application for a certificate in the form of a model of the Patent Office which contains:

• name of the product for which a certificate is sought;   
• data on the main patent - the name of the invention, the patent number and the expiration date of the patent;   
• name and address of the applicant (s) for the certificate application;   
• name and address of the industrial property representative, if any;   
• correspondence address;   
• the number and date of the first authorization for placing the product on the market in the Republic of Bulgaria and if this authorization is not the first authorization for placing the product on the market in the Community, the number and date of this authorization.

Attachments:

• a copy of the authorization to place the product on the market in which the product is identified;
• if the authorization referred to above is not the first authorization to place the product on the market in the Community, information on the identity of the product so authorized and the legal provision under which the authorization procedure took place, together with a copy of the notification of the official publication of the authorization.

Fees determined by the Fee Tariff shall be paid in connection with the submission of the application within one month from the date of submission.
