Within the framework of the legal system in force on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, the protection of the rights to industrial property objects is regulated by a number of normative acts, including:
international treaties and conventions ratified, promulgated and entered into force for the Republic of Bulgaria as part of its domestic legislation;
legal norms of the national law of the country, which comprehensively regulate the origin and content of industrial property rights, the order and means for their exercise, the measures and procedures for their protection against infringements. These norms are contained in the Constitution and in many special laws and regulations on their implementation.
legal norms provided for in the regulations and directives of the institutions of the European Union, which are directly applied or introduced through internal normative acts in the national legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria.
