Electronic filing of requests for European patent actions, secondary patent actions, European patents and utility models is now possible
In order to increase the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the services offered by the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria to businesses related to the protection of industrial property objects, on 08.10.2020 at the Park Hotel "Vitosha" was held a Round Table conference under the topic "Presentation of nineteen new electronic services in the Portal of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria", which was officially opened by Dr. David Sukalinski - Deputy Chairman of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The participants - business representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial property representatives, service users and citizens, were introduced in detail to the latest electronic services, including the electronic filing of requests for European patent actions, secondary patent actions, European patents and utility models
Ms Borislava Kitanova, Junior Expert, Disputes and Administrative Penalty, presented crucial details of the new services in relation to requests for secondary actions for national and European patents, as well as for utility models. A demonstration in the e-services portal of the Patent Office also presented the main key points of the processes to be followed for successful filing of requests for European patent actions, secondary actions for patents, European patents and utility models.
During the discussion it was noted that the daily work and efforts of the Patent Office are aimed not only at developing the processes for granting legal protection to industrial property objects, but also at expanding the tools for electronic access to the services provided by the Office.
