Prof. Dr. Kamen Veselinov is the new President of the Patent Office

The Prime Minister Boyko Borisov appointed a new President of the Patent Office of Republic of Bulgaria – Prof. Dr. Kamen Veselinov. As from 25 of May 2011 he succeeds the outgoing President Kostadin Manev.
amen Vladimirov Veselinov was born on 23. 02. 1946 in Blagoevgrad. He graduated from the Technical University in Dresden, Germany, as a mechanical engineer. In the period 2003 - 2004 he was Deputy Minister of Education and Science responsible for the higher education. From 2005 till February 2011 he was Rector of the Technical University - Sofia. From 2004 to 2009, Kamen Veselinov was a Deputy Chairman of the National Council for Science. He is representative of Bulgaria to the Committee for Scientific and Technical Research of the European Commission.
